WWW
WWW is a web browser for Android. This policy states exactly what leaves your device, what does not, and who receives it. It is written by hand rather than generated, because a browser deserves a specific answer.

The short version
The developer of WWW operates no server and receives no data from you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising SDK anywhere in the application. Your browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs, passwords, collections and AI conversations are stored in a database on your phone and are never uploaded.
Everything below describes the network requests the browser can make and the conditions under which each one happens.
What stays on your device
- Browsing history and visit records
- Bookmarks, collections, reading list and page annotations
- Open tabs, tab groups and spaces
- Saved passwords and passkeys — held in the Android keystore through the system credential store, never in ordinary preferences
- Downloads and their metadata
- Settings, per-site permissions and search engines
- Conversations with the on-device AI model, and the model file itself
- Diagnostic logs, which are written to the device only and never transmitted
Cloud sync is not implemented in this version. The settings screen offers to configure an account and to export or import your settings as a file you control; no synchronisation transport exists, and nothing is uploaded.

The AI features
WWW can summarise a page, answer a question about it, or point out characteristics worth noticing. By default this runs on a language model that you download once and that executes on the phone: nothing about the page leaves the device.
You may instead choose a remote provider. Doing so requires two deliberate acts: selecting that provider, and entering an API key that is yours. From then on, the text you submit is sent to that provider and is governed by their terms, not by this policy. The application states this in the provider selection screen before you choose.
WWW's detectors describe signals, never verdicts. The application says that a page "shows the characteristics of" something; it does not declare a site fraudulent, deceptive or unsafe.
Permissions, and why each one exists
- Internet and network state — loading pages, and knowing whether the network is available before starting a transfer.
- Notifications — download progress. Requested at your first download, not at startup.
- Foreground service (data sync) — so a download you started keeps running when the screen goes off. Without it, a large transfer stops shortly after the screen turns off and restarts from zero.
- Camera — reading QR codes, when you ask for it. The app remains installable on devices without a camera.
- Photos, video and audio access — the file picker, so you can attach a file to a web page or save one.
- Biometrics — unlocking the password manager.
- Credential manager — passkeys, through the system credential store. The origin of the page is declared to the system so that one site cannot obtain a passkey belonging to another.
- Vibration and wake lock — haptic feedback, and keeping a transfer or playback alive according to your settings.
WWW does not request location, microphone, contacts, calendar or SMS permissions, and does not use an advertising identifier.
Autofill
Password filling matches the origin strictly: both the scheme and the registrable domain must match exactly, never a substring. Nothing is filled automatically when a page loads; a form is never submitted for you; one-time verification codes are never filled; and writing into a frame belonging to another origin asks you first, naming that origin. Payment card fields are excluded from automation.
Children
WWW is not directed at children. As a general-purpose browser it gives access to the whole open web without content filtering, and it is not part of Google Play's Families programme.
Your control
Because nothing is held on a server, deletion is entirely in your hands: clear history and site data from the privacy settings, delete individual passwords or the whole store, remove the downloaded AI model, or uninstall the application to remove everything at once. Private browsing keeps no history, cookies or cache after the session ends.
Changes
If a future version sends something new, this page is updated before that version ships, and the change is described in the release notes.

L'éditeur de WWW n'exploite aucun serveur et ne reçoit aucune donnée de votre part. Il n'y a ni compte, ni connexion, ni mesure d'audience, ni rapport d'erreur, ni régie publicitaire dans l'application. Votre historique, vos favoris, vos onglets, vos mots de passe, vos collections et vos conversations avec l'IA sont enregistrés dans une base de données sur votre téléphone et ne sont jamais téléversés.
Ce qui reste sur l'appareil
Historique et visites, favoris, collections, liste de lecture, annotations, onglets, groupes et espaces, mots de passe et clés d'accès (rangés dans le trousseau du système), téléchargements, réglages, autorisations par site, moteurs de recherche, conversations avec le modèle embarqué et le fichier du modèle lui-même, et les traces de diagnostic — qui ne sont jamais transmises.
La synchronisation n'est pas implémentée dans cette version : l'écran de réglages propose de configurer un compte et d'exporter ou d'importer vos réglages sous forme de fichier, rien n'est envoyé.
Ce qui peut sortir de l'appareil
- Les pages que vous ouvrez et les recherches que vous lancez partent vers le site et le moteur que vous avez choisis. C'est le métier d'un navigateur.
- Les suggestions au fil de la frappe sont désactivées par défaut. Activées, elles envoient chaque frappe au moteur choisi.
- Les listes de filtres sont téléchargées et rafraîchies périodiquement. Ce sont des fichiers publics : aucune donnée vous concernant n'est envoyée.
- La vérification de compromission n'envoie que les cinq premiers caractères d'une empreinte SHA-1, jamais le mot de passe ni l'empreinte entière. La comparaison se fait sur l'appareil.
- Le téléchargement du modèle d'IA ne part que si vous choisissez un modèle.
- Les fournisseurs d'IA distants sont désactivés par défaut : le fournisseur retenu à l'installation est le modèle embarqué. Choisir un service distant demande deux gestes délibérés — le sélectionner et saisir votre propre clé d'API. Le texte que vous soumettez part alors chez ce fournisseur et relève de ses conditions, pas de la présente politique. L'application vous le dit avant.
- La traduction et le DNS sur HTTPS sont désactivés tant que vous ne les configurez pas.
- L'export PDF télécharge les images de la page et les polices du document.
- Les scripts utilisateur et les extensions que vous installez peuvent émettre des requêtes, refusées vers tout hôte que le script n'a pas déclaré.
Autorisations
Internet et état du réseau (charger les pages), notifications (progression d'un téléchargement, demandée au premier téléchargement), service au premier plan de type dataSync (pour qu'un téléchargement survive à l'extinction de l'écran), caméra (lecture de codes QR à votre demande), accès aux médias (sélecteur de fichiers), biométrie (déverrouiller les mots de passe), gestionnaire d'identifiants (clés d'accès), vibration et maintien en éveil. WWW ne demande ni localisation, ni micro, ni contacts, ni agenda, ni SMS, et n'utilise aucun identifiant publicitaire.
Remplissage des formulaires
La correspondance d'origine est stricte : le schéma et le domaine enregistrable doivent correspondre exactement, jamais par sous-chaîne. Rien n'est rempli automatiquement au chargement, aucun formulaire n'est envoyé à votre place, aucun code à usage unique n'est rempli, et écrire dans un cadre d'une autre origine demande votre accord en nommant cette origine. Les champs de carte bancaire sont exclus de toute automatisation.
Enfants
WWW ne s'adresse pas aux enfants. En tant que navigateur généraliste, il donne accès à l'ensemble du web sans filtrage de contenu et ne participe pas au programme Families de Google Play.
Vos moyens d'action
Comme rien n'est conservé sur un serveur, tout se supprime depuis l'appareil : effacer l'historique et les données de site depuis les réglages de confidentialité, supprimer un mot de passe ou tout le magasin, retirer le modèle d'IA téléchargé, ou désinstaller l'application pour tout effacer d'un coup. La navigation privée ne conserve ni historique, ni cookies, ni cache après la session.
